In order to deliver on above, OD&HR has recently organized itself in four regions, led by four regional HR managers and two centres of expertise in our global support office, one focusing on Culture, Talent & Recruitment and one focusing on Operations and Rewards. We are working with recruitment, talent and rewards communities, in which OD&HR team members of each region work together to talk about and align on all sorts of topics, to ensure we bring in all perspectives. We are aiming for a balanced approach between top-down direction and bottom-up initiatives. As OD&HR we work closely together with the business and involve them upfront.
Regional HR Manager EMEA
The Regional HR manager is responsible for supporting the (strategic objectives) of AmbaFlex by staying connected to matters which impact the people and the culture of the organization. You have a thorough understanding of business priorities and continue working to build trusted relationships with a diverse audience of internal stakeholders representing a wide variety of OD&HR support needs. You are liaising at the one hand with our OD&HR global support office and deploy (global) initiatives in the region in line with regional rules and legislation, but on the other hand you make sure that the ‘voice of the region’ is being represented in the overall organization. As such, this role is challenged to maintain a strong functional base of knowledge within the HR discipline along with the ability to effectively execute both short-term and long-term deliverables. The ideal candidate for this role is someone thoroughly familiar with HR best practices and the legal environment while also possessing a very strong business acumen. Working together with the business hand in hand to come to pragmatic, yet scalable solutions is essential. Skills in the areas of interpersonal communication, relationship building, project management, critical thinking and strategic process improvement must be very strong. You must be self-motivated, able to handle multiple competing priorities at once, and willing to adapt within a fast-paced organization.
Besides yourselves the OD&HR team EMEA consists of a HR BP and 3 HR generalists, the role reports into the global Head of OD&HR.
Role and Responsibilities
Interfaces with managers and employees to build relationships, employee morale and increase both productivity and retention
Partners with business leaders upfront and builds solutions together
Maintains an ongoing knowledge of legislation impacting HR activities; identify compliance gaps within HR functionality and recommend remedial actions as appropriate, yet has a pragmatic approach in this
Supports the organization through participation in special HR projects that maintain a positive employer-employee relationship and maintain morale.
Develop strong and effective collaboration with managers and colleagues across departments.
Promote culture of employee engagement, a positive environment, and an inspiring place to work and grow.
Represent AmbaFlex in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions.
Job requirements
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources, business or another relevant field
Minimum of 15 years’ experience in an HR role managing topics with a good level of independency
Used to work in global organizations in faster paced manufacturing environments
Track of record of harmonizing, aligning and improving process, policies and benefits
Experience working in an organization with numerous locations and a remote workforce is highly preferred
Demonstrates the highest level of integrity and confidentiality
Proven track record of developing effective relationships
Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders at all levels
Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
Excellent follow-through
